Casa Amsterdam: A Hosted Residence During Mexico City Art Week

It’s official: Casa Amsterdam is happening.

From Tuesday through Sunday during Mexico City Art Week, I’ll be hosting a small group of travelers inside a beautiful six-bedroom private residence on Amsterdam Street in Condesa—one of my favorite streets in one of the city’s most walkable and exciting neighborhoods.

This is not a traditional tour or retreat.

Think of it as a temporary private club with your own key: a stylish home base filled with interesting people, thoughtful hospitality, local insight, and plenty of freedom to experience Mexico City your own way. We’ll provide custom planning and access included in the stay when you book.

Five Nights in the Heart of Condesa

Space is intentionally limited to approximately 8–10 guests.

We’ll begin our mornings over coffee, fresh pastries, and breakfast at the house before heading out into the city. Some guests may spend the day exploring the major Art Week fairs and gallery openings, while others may wander through neighborhoods, linger over lunch, shop, visit museums, or follow their own interests.

We’ll come back together for a few signature moments throughout the week, including:

  • Welcome cocktails and a private chef dinner at the house

  • A breakfast and market experience with local culinary expert Anais Martínez, founder of Devoured

  • Daily breakfast or hosted morning experiences

  • A relaxed wine, mezcal, or cocktail gathering

  • Farewell brunch bites before departures

  • A curated welcome gift with local goodies

  • Concierge support before and during the stay

  • Restaurant, gallery, neighborhood, and Art Week recommendations

The schedule will remain intentionally flexible. Mexico City will be buzzing with exhibitions, dinners, openings, pop-ups, and special events, and I want everyone to have the freedom to enjoy the city without being tied to a rigid itinerary.

Optional experiences will also be available, including additional Devoured food tours, a sunrise Xochimilco breakfast experience, wine tastings, shopping and artisan visits, spa appointments, and more.

Devoured Food Tour Mexico City

Anais Martinez, Founder

I’m thrilled to be creating this experience with my friend Anais Martínez, founder of Devoured and one of Mexico City’s most connected culinary insiders.

Anais has been featured by Bon Appétit, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times, but what excites me most is her genuine love for the city and the people behind its food culture.

We became fast friends through our shared belief that food is one of the best ways to understand a place. Together, we fully intend to feed everyone very well.

Who Is This For?

Casa Amsterdam is for travelers who love food, art, design, culture, good conversation, and discovering a city through people who genuinely know and love it. My Ultimate Guide to Mexico City gives a flavor of the reasons to love this city.

You can come solo, with a partner, or with a friend. You do not need to be an art collector or an Art Week expert. Curiosity is enough.

The five nights are designed to work equally well for someone visiting Mexico City for the first time or someone returning for another look at a city that is constantly evolving.
