Travel Math Is Different Than Real Life Math
Vacation logic is... different.
At home:
"That's 30 minutes away? Never mind."
On vacation:
"The winery is 45 minutes away? Perfect! We can stop at that little village on the way."
At home:
Walking five miles sounds like exercise.
On vacation:
You accidentally hit 22,000 steps before dinner.
At home:
Three activities in one day? Absolutely not.
On vacation:
Breakfast tour. Museum. Boat ride. Aperitivo. Late dinner.
"Perfect day."
At home:
Any plans starting after 8 p.m.? Lose my number.
On vacation:
"10 p.m. dinner reservation? Perfect. Should we grab a drink first?"
At home:
"$20 for a cocktail?!"
On vacation:
"YOLO... run that card. I'll probably never be here again."
Travel somehow changes our relationship with time, energy, money, and curiosity.
And honestly... I kind of love Vacation Me.
