Why Being a Pisces Means I Fall in Love With Places Before I Even Arrive
On intuition, cities, and the emotional pull of travel
I’ve fallen in love with places I’ve never been to.
Not logically. Not because of a checklist or a deal or convenience. But because something about them lodged itself in my imagination and refused to leave.
I’m a Pisces. And if you know anything about Pisces, you know we don’t just visit places. We feel them long before we arrive.
Pisces is ruled by Neptune—the planet of dreams, intuition, and imagination. Which explains why some cities live in my mind for years before I ever step foot in them.
And when I finally do, it’s less like discovering them and more like returning.
I Am, At My Core, a City Person
While Pisces are often associated with the sea, I’ve always been drawn just as strongly to cities.
Dense, layered, alive cities.
Places where you can walk for hours and never see the same thing twice. Where conversations stretch late into the night. Where energy hums just beneath the surface.
Mexico City is the most recent example.
Before this February, I already knew I would love it. I couldn’t have explained exactly why. But I could feel it. And when I arrived, it didn’t disappoint. It exceeded the version I had built in my mind—which is rare.
The same thing happened with Beirut. With Paris. With places that become part of your internal geography.
Pisces don’t just see places. We absorb them.
The Emotional Geography of Travel
Some people travel for relaxation. Some for novelty.
I travel because I’m chasing a feeling.
The exhilaration of arriving somewhere new. The quiet moment when you realize a place fits you. The way your senses sharpen. The way your world expands slightly.
This is also why I love planning travel for others.
I’m not just booking hotels or building itineraries. I’m helping people step into the version of their life that exists somewhere else.
I am, unapologetically, a travel hype girl.
Because I know what’s waiting for people when they go.
Not just beautiful hotels or great meals. But perspective. Energy. Expansion.
That feeling of being fully present in your own life.
The Pisces Trait I Recognize Most: The Pull
The most defining Pisces trait, for me, isn’t water. It’s the pull.
That deep, almost irrational certainty that a place matters to you before you have evidence.
Morocco has that pull right now. So does Namibia. So did Lebanon, long before I lived there.
These places exist first as imagination. Then intention. Then reality.
And once they become real, they become part of you.
Why This Matters More Than Ever
March 6 is my birthday. Another year around the sun doing exactly this, following the pull toward places that inspire me.
Supporting places I love. Returning to Lebanon in August to host a dining series. Riding along Morocco’s coast after PURE luxury event in Marrakech. Continuing to explore cities that challenge and expand me.
And helping others do the same.
Because the truth is, everyone has places calling them.
Most people just ignore it.
Pisces don’t.
We listen. We go. And we bring others with us.
